Imagine a world without these rights:

• States Parties recognize the right of every child alleged as, accused of, or recognized as having infringed the penal law to be treated in a manner consistent with the promotion of the child's sense of dignity and worth, which reinforces the child's respect for the human rights and fundamental freedoms of others and which takes into account the child's age and the desirability of promoting the child's reintegration and the child's assuming a constructive role in society. (Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 40, Section 1)
• States Parties shall take all appropriate measures to eliminate discrimination against women in order to ensure to them equal rights with men in the field of education and in particular to ensure, on a basis of equality of men and women: Access to the same curricula, the same examinations, teaching staff with qualifications of the same standard and school premises and equipment of the same quality. (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, Article 10, Clause B)
