Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2012 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. I rarely edit posts after publishing them, but if I do, I usually leave a note in italics to mark the edit and the reason. If this post is particularly offensive or breaches someone's privacy, please contact me.

A big long book, cities in Italy and Alaska, my flat, a journey, the most internationalized and accessible desktop environment, an igloo.

Roam? Slalom? Chomsky, Noam? Ethan Frome?

"Roam" it is! (Is that how you say "slalom"?)

I considered "roam", but rejected it because the others all end in "ome".

Try this one:

The first is at the head of the line.
The second arms you with two heads.
The third invades a head.
The fourth grabs a head.

It is not how I say "slalom," but I don't trust my own pronunciation of most words anyway.
