Going to WisCon

Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2009 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. I rarely edit posts after publishing them, but if I do, I usually leave a note in italics to mark the edit and the reason. If this post is particularly offensive or breaches someone's privacy, please contact me.

I've registered to attend WisCon, a feminist science fiction convention, in Madison, Wisconsin this May. Now I just need to make travel and room arrangements. Anyone else going and want to share a room? I'll happily sleep on a floor.

By the way, Julia, thank you for inspiring me to start congoing. I meant to participate in Flycon this weekend, but I should probably concentrate on anthology, AltLaw, and writing work.

I'm so glad to hear that you are going to WisCon. I hear that it is a really great one to attend. I don't think I can swing it this year, but I eventually hope to make it there. As for Flycon, one of its great aspects is that all the panels will be up as transcriptions after the fast (at least, that's what I understand to be true), so you can look at them later if you feel like it.
